Experimenting With Amazon Google Hacks

By Dan Morrill

Sometimes it is not about what you can find, but what you can't find that makes Google more interesting. In the highly competitive world we live it, here are some Google hacks for Amazon that will let you know what is not currently being carried by Amazon.

This is a reverse engineering process for Amazon, in that normally you want to find out what is being carried by the company, but for some resellers on Amazon, knowing what is not being carried that can help give you a better competitive edge.

This is a great little Google hack for finding everything that is currently unavailable within the Amazon system. This is great if you are reseller, or even if you are looking for a particular title. Knowing if it is available or not comes in handy later on, especially if you have the only copy of the book, or know where the title can be obtained.

There are ways of manipulating this to show different kinds of results, for example, those books that are "out of print, limited availability", or "1 used and new" that show up different kinds of results. You will want to play around with these to get a better feel for how you can use these to work out how to find what is listed, but what is not available.
